ABOUT US
We are a new production company based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, but cover projects all over the country. Established in May 2013, we started from the bottom, bought our own equipment and started to make our own short films for next to nothing. However, due to some hard work and determination we are quickly making a name for ourselves in the Northern Irish film industry.
Our principle is that you don't need a huge budget to create something magical, and our ambitions are endless. As a result, we are always trying to push the boundaries of what is possible and hopefully our name demonstrates this. With our combined 10+ years of experience in film and photography, we guarantee than we can offer the quality each project deserves, never mind how big the budget is. Phil McAleavey - Founder (Writer/Director/DOP)
Phil first found his passion for filmmaking at St. Columb's College in Derry when he took up Moving Image Arts for A-Level. However, storytelling was always of a keen interest to him. Since then, Phil has worked on numerous short films, music videos and documentaries with some of the most talented filmmakers in Ireland and has also wrote, shot and directed quite a few of his own. In addition to film, photography holds the same attraction. Phil is currently going into his final year of Film Studies at Queen's University Belfast. In May 2013, he started Titanic Vision Entertainment and the company has since worked on numerous projects around Ireland. Phil's goal is to continue to progress with the company and hopefully attract worldwide audiences.
Michael Quigley - Partner (Writer/Director)
Like Phil, Michael also attended St. Columb's College. He studied Moving Image Arts for A-Level which allowed him a vital insight into the industry. In September 2013, he joined Titanic Vision Entertainment as a partner. Michael brings a wealth of experience to the table having spent years working in both the photography and film industry. He now spends his free time brainstorming for his own films, and helping the company to progress further.
Yasin Bektasoglu - Lead Visual Effects Artist (Editor)
Yasin is currently studying for his BA. Hons degree in Film Studies at Queen's University Belfast. After working together on 2Late, he joined the company in March 2014 and has since been working on our various projects including the design of our animated company intro. Yasin is a very experienced editor, fluent in After Effects and Adobe Premier whilst he is also learning Nuke. He will play a big part in the future of Titanic Vision Entertainment.
David Faulkner - Resident Cinematographer (Artist/Photographer/Editor)
David is currently going into his third and final year of his BA. Hons degree in Film Studies at Queen’s University Belfast. From working on various projects throughout the past few years, such as 2Late, Talent Agents and filming weddings, David has added experience within camera operating and photography. In addition to camera operating and photography, David has experience within post production editing programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom, enhancing photographs and creating graphic art.
